All weights listed are based on 2 balances per moveable sash.

It is recommended that sash balances are replaced in pairs. (Old balances will have different spring rates than new balances and the difference may cause the window to bind in its channels - making it difficult to operate the window).

Some sash balances have 'wings' on the end caps, and some do not. Balances without wings are compatible with windows that previously had 'winged' balances. (Please see photos below).
