This operator is a rear mount operator (screw holes go through into housing from the back). It is typically used with awning windows, but may have other applications. The housing material is die cast zinc and the arms and gear are hardened steel. Older operators may have a gold electroplated finish on the arms, whereas the new operators have gone to an E-gard painted finish for aesthetics and longevity. This new finish does not affect the fit and function of these operators - they are interchangeable.
